Yen Bai Province is located in the northwest of Vietnam, about 168 kilometers from Hanoi, and takes about six hours by car.

I spent my entire stay within the hotel grounds, but visitors can freely go to Mu Cang Chai area to see the most beautiful terraced rice fields in Vietnam each season.
Eating Yen Bai's specialty, smoked buffalo jerky and bamboo shoots, is also one of the best parts of the trip.
